Brief Introduction

Zhenli Xu is a professor at the School of Mathematical Sciences and Institute of Natural Sciences, Shanghai Jiao Tong University. He received B.S. and Ph.D. degrees from University of Science and Technology of China, and was a postdoctoral fellow at University of North Carolina at Charlotte before joining the SJTU. He was selected in the Program of New Century Talents in University of Chinese Ministry of Education in 2010, and National Youth Top-notch Talent Program of Central Organization Department of China in 2012. Professor Xu works in a number of fields in applied mathematics, including fast Monte Carlo algorithms, computer simulations and continuum theory of biological and colloidal systems, and numerical PDEs, and published papers in core journals such as SIAM Review and other SIAM series journals, Physical Review Letters, Journal of Computational Physics, and Journal of Chemical Physics. His research projects has been financially supported by Chinese Ministry of Education, and Natural Science Foundation of China.
