Quantum Physics of Information, Shanghai Jiao Tong University

The building blocks of our communication systems and computational devices are bits. The scope of quantum information science is to replace bits with “qubits”, objects that obey the laws of quantum physics. This is a great challenge that has the potential to revolutionize information technology. The event will consist of a school and a workshop: the school will expose the attendants to the basic concepts of quantum information and computation, and it will be a great occasion for newcomers to the field. The workshop will comprise advanced tutorials and a program of talks based on current research problems and results.
