Abstract

The importance of rare events has been widely accepted in computational physics and chemistry. In this talk, I will try to show that rare event is also a key concept and research topic in computational cell biology. This will be exemplified from our recent study of gene expression models, checkpoint analysis in budding yeast cell cycle, and the analysis of single cell RNA sequencing data.
