Introduction

Materials modeling and simulation is essential in underpinning the discovery and synthesis of new materials and chemicals with novel functionalities in key areas such as energy, information technology and biomedicine. On the other hand, it presents a huge challenge for matheamtics and computational science. This workshop aims to promote academic exchange and collaboration among the researchers in the interdiscipinary field of computaional materials science and mathematics.
