Brief Introduction

With the continuous innovation and development of mathematical methods and computer hardware and software, the application of numerical computational methods in the field of aerodynamics is in more extensive use. This conference brings together experts and engineers from the fields of mathematics, aerodynamics and computer science to discuss the frontiers of computational methods in research and engineering problems.

This meeting mainly focuses on the following four topics:

• problems and challenges in numerical simulation of hypersonic vehicles
• problems and challenges in numerical simulation of large aircraft aerodynamic characteristics
• future advanced CFD software framework and large-scale parallel computational strategy
• novel numerical computational methods for multi-scale and multi-physical combustion flow

In the form of “academic exchanges + free discussions”, the purpose of this conference is to explore how to better combine current advanced mathematical methods with frontier computer science to find the better solution of difficulties and problems encountered in China’s aerospace development.
