Theoretical analysis of Runge-Kutta discontinuous Galerkin methods for solving hyperbolic equations

Abstract

In this talk we will present the theoretical analysis of high-order Runge-Kutta discontinuous Galerkin (RKDG) methods for solving hyperbolic equations, including stability analysis, error estimate, superconvergence and the estimate of post-processed solution. Two main tools are the temporal differences of stage solutions and the matrix transferring process. Some numerical experiments are also given to support our theoretical results.
