Quasi-elastic neutron scattering continues to play an important role in accessing the dynamics in the wide range of systems that fall under the soft/bio materials umbrella. Albeit neutrons not being the first technique of choice, they can provide more detailed and/or different information that adds to ultimately understanding the system properties. In this talk I will draw on some recent examples that showcase that neutrons can provide key information for much more complex systems, thought as un-traditional for the technique. In addition, I will showcase new technological advances that hopefully will open new capabilities for users.
